Saturday Night

WOW the week has flown by. Havent done any sewing this week :( Good news is that I started ANOTHER knitting project - LOL I frogged some longies I was knitting for Indi and started a NB beanie.

Been looking around at softies and really think I am onto something :) Been in contact with a few people about supplies do will see where it takes me.

So . . . here it is. The fabric for the flower girl dress. I will say, its not 'pretty' fabric. The bride is not going for the 'traditional' wedding so I have to come up with something a little different yet still pretty. I have an idea of what I might do. Its not exactly what I would call 'out there' but it does incorporate all the fabrics.

I will try and get a better pic tomorrow.

Another sewing project

I have been asked to make a flower girl dress for a friends wedding, in 4 weeks!! EEeeek

Anyway, its out of woven fabric and brown leather. I will take a pic tomorrow so you can see it. Lets see what I can come up with ;)

Shopping

Well today we went shopping for new mattresses for the kids. We thought we better do some spending with our Rudd money ;) So . . . we bought:
2 x mattresses for the boys
1 x cot mattress for Indi

When we got the mattress home it didn't fit! Doesnt that suck. Now we have to go back again to swap it over.

All in all though it was so nice to actually get to do something with Chris for a change, even if it was shopping :)

Oh, and another thing, there is a cute little give away going on over here. All you have to do is have a look at her beautiful bunting and tell her which is your fav. My fav is the Valori Wells and Joel Derberry one. I am a little obsessed with Valori Wells at the moment :) My sister is looking for some decorations for her girls rooms, might have to send her over to see Giggleberry's Shop on Etsy

She has a friend ;)

Ok, this is my idea

I havent shown many people my blog so I am hoping that nodody pops in here and steals my plans . . . so, if you are looking at this, please be kind ;)

So, my idea at the moment is to make a softie pattern, sell it as a pattern, a kit with fabric precut and a few softies ready made. What do you think???

Reality Hits

Ok, I woke up this morning and reality has hit. Chris is really out of work :( Chris normally works between 6-7 days a week so to wake up this morning with him beside me was very strange. So . . . now, how are we going to pay bills :( I am starting to get really worried. I just have to keep reminding myself that God is in control :)

Next project

Ok, my project for tomorrow inbetween cleaning, feeding Indi and everything else a SAHM does is to work out how to make my blog look pretty :) Its looking pretty boring at the moment. I have no idea where to start. Anybody got any ideas???

Starting out

So, this is me and my new blog :) I have never had a blog before but desperate times call for desperate measures - LOL

Where do I start?? Well, I am starting a blog cause I thought it might be a good place to start tracking my ideas and to keep up with other peoples creative ideas.

When talking about desperate measures I am talking about how things are going at moment with the economy. Today I found out that Chris (husband) is out of a job :( So . . . how can I start to lend a hand with supporting my family??

I have a few ideas but nothing really set in stone. Actually, things never get set in stone around here with 2 little kids - LOL

Will just have to wait and see how things progress :)
